The Bethesda Arcade is the only place in the world where Minton encaustic tiles are used on the ceiling rather than on the floor. Who knew this existed in New York? Not me until I was scouting spots to shoot outfit pictures in Central Park when I followed the sound of Christmas carols which led me to the Bethesda Arcade. This is like a little slice of architectural heaven to satisfy my craving until I get the chance to travel again.
If I were to pick anything in the world to wear while walking through this next time it would be anything from McQueen's Fall collection and the Nicholas Kirkwood x Rodarte candlestick heels. I couldn't help but slip in the Duccio painting that still has smoke mark damage from the candles that it once sat above... That's a little art history/fashion visual pun for you.
This is a reminder that I really need to take more time to explore fun things in the city because I'm sure that I should have known about this spot way earlier.
