Happy Fitness Friday! A big chunk of my focus during workouts is strengthening my core. I'm that person that says, "Weights make me bulky!" so I try to use my own resistance as much as possible to stay lean and the balance ball really helps achieve that. These are just a few of my favorite ball exercises that not only challenge my abs but also my arms and legs so I get a total full body workout. I'm a big believer that if you have a strong center, you can basically rule the world so I hope you get inspired to add this one very inexpensive piece of equipment into your routine. I found this ball at TJ Maxx for literally $7 and it's so great to have around the house for those times that you don't really have time to workout but still want to squeeze in some kind of exercise.
My biggest tip for this workout is:
- Try to keep a focus on your posture and form. It's easy to let your neck pull, butt drop, or back lift up when you're doing some of these exercises. The better form you have, the more your core will feel it. It's a challenge and I'm definitely still working on mine but as you get stronger, it gets easier.
