Is it just me or are there more holiday parties and celebrations this year than ever before? I'm starting to run out of cute things to wear. I tried Rent the Runway, but all of the dresses were basically booked out until after New Years. What's a girl to do? Well, I turned to someone who always has a fresh take on dressing for any occasion.
Richard Metzger is the Creative Director for Rafaella Group and has dressed huge celebs like Oprah and Queen Latifah. Lucky for us, he is sharing some of his favorite holiday dressing tips just for SG readers!
Red Hot- "Of course, we all think red at the holidays. Pair your red items with bright fuchsia or shades of magenta, this color combination allows for a more sophisticated look that will get you noticed no matter what the holiday function may be." (I think it also looks cute with animal print!)
Goldie Lux- "Gold is at an all time high both in terms of the economy and fashion. You can get in on the action this season without paying 18 karat prices. Sequins and shine in molton shades of gold are the perfect way to add some glitz and sparkle this holiday season."
Winter White- "You don't have to dress in red and green to feel festive this holiday season. Try high contrast winter whites for a fresh update on your holiday wardrobe. You can even add a dash of silver or gold for a gilded holiday look."
Holiday Brights- "Even if it's below zero outside you can feel like you're in the sunshine with a dose of bright colors to your wardrobe. Indulge in orange, turquoise to give you that extra lift-- it's like going on vacation without getting on a plane!"
They also have amazing shapewear called Ergofit built into a lot of their pieces, so when you eat that extra cookie and sip on too much eggnog, you can still feel slim and sexy.
