Summer Bucket List

It's hard to believe that we are almost halfway through July!  Being up in the mountains this weekend almost felt like Fall, but that crisp air can't substitute the bliss that a beach breeze provides.  Knowing myself, I'll probably find a way to be around the beach once the fall hits (hello again, LA) but for now I'm going to try to make the most of the best season of the year.  Here are a few things I want to accomplish before it ends:

Quit Sugar.  How trendy of me, right?  But seriously it's the one thing that I absolutely cannot live without.  I can go about 2 days before withdrawal symptoms set in and I cave.

Try More Beauty Powders.  I've become a bit of a skincare freak these past few years and instead of attacking my skin from the outside, I'm curious about getting my skin to glow from the inside out.  My biggest issue is dehydration and sometimes putting product after product on just isn't cutting it.  I've heard great things about The Beauty Chefpowders and Aloha.  Would love your thoughts if anyone has tried either of these brands!

Plan a detox vacation.  Preferably in Bali.  I don't know what it is but for the past few years I've been dying to go to Bali.  My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy because when I talk about quitting sugar I want it to be done while I take a 2 week trip to a spa/yoga/wellness/surfing camp where they only feed you vegan food and there is no access to sugar and mini coke zeros (addicted to those as well).  He's like, why can't you just do all of those things here and save yourself thousands of dollars?  Hmm.. Bali still sounds like it wins that argument.

A New Blog Outfit.  I'm planning a really big redesign of the blog.  Possibly a name change as well.  The whole process takes so much planning and decision-making which can really push back the timeline but I'm hoping to get everything up by August!  It's going to be more experiential and less of the same format that everyone else does.  I think it's important to revisit being original after the whole fashion blogging world homogenized and now I only see Chanel bags and macarons every time I open my instagram.

Phew that feels like a lot! Guess I better get started. What's on your summer bucket list?
