Hello, lovelies!  Hope you had a great weekend!  I found this gem of a skirt in the midst of the crazy Zara sale and knew it would take me well into Spring/Summer.  I only buy winter sale items when I know they can work for the next season or else it always ends up being a waste of money.  This skirt had such gorgeous pleating that it almost feels sculptural.  I'm really inspired by old sculptures that have draping and folds that feel so fluid that you could mistaken them for moving fabric.  A good example would be the Raffaele Monti sculptures (seen in Pride & Prejudice when she visits Mr. Darcy's estate).   Anywho, I remove my nerd glasses to continue to explain my thoughts behind the outfit...  The skirt is so feminine that I liked pairing it with rugged boots and a chunky belted sweater so it feels unexpected and appropriate for winter!
