The next installment of my Vintage Holiday series with Mary Kay highlights the perfect white-haute holiday suit! Let’s be honest, most of us have enough to juggle around the holidays (gift shopping, end-of-year deadlines, etc.) and sometimes have to go right from the office to holiday parties. The white suit is the perfect alternative to stashing a cocktail dress under your desk and getting ready in the bathroom. Its mix of feminine and masculine plays off of a groovy ’70s vibe that allows you to look polished yet chic for all that networking and socializing.

Going monochromatic begs to have a pop of color, and a classic vibrant red lip is a chic choice for this sophisticated silhouette. I layered True Dimensions Lipstick in Firecracker Red and NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Rock ’n’ Red to get a really rich, glossy color. Because the lip is so strong, I kept the eye nude except for a sleek swoop of Liquid Eyeliner in black and a few coats of Lash Love Mascara in I Love Black. A quick tip on how to help keep your red lip in place is to prime your lips beforehand with the Time-Wise Age Fighting Lip Primer and use the clear lip liner to stay within the lines. This way, you don’t have to worry about having the matching color lip pencil on hand!

For the outfit, I wanted to add a lot of depth and texture so the silhouette didn’t get lost in the all-white color scheme. There’s a trend forming that involves wearing skirts over pants so I layered a feather dress instead of pairing a blouse with the suiting. This mixes in a play in proportions and makes it feel even more festive!
