Beach to Street. Yoga to Street. Repeat.
Happy Thursday! I haven't been back long but I already find my mind wandering back to Tulum. When it comes to packing for a trip there, the approach is incredibly low-maintence. It's yoga and beach style all the way and over-thinking it would be all wrong. The other positive is there are tons of awesome boutiques lining Tulum beach road that all carry some of the coolest brands around. I realized this first-hand when my Shopbop order didn't come in time and I was left having to pick up a few things while I was down there. I was actually glad because it really is beach or yoga to street so I wouldn't have even needed some of the resort-style dresses that I ordered. This top is one piece that I found at YogaShala hotel's boutique. Super simple gauzy tube with my favorite Weargrace pants, perfect for the rustic backdrop that the studios have to offer.
If you're planning a trip, here are a few of my must-shops.
The boutique at Posada Margherita. If you find yourself having dinner here, lucky you. It's one of the most charming restaurants by the sea maybe ever. There's always a wait past 6:30/7 which is perfect because the boutique is awesome. They stock bikini faves like LemLem and Made by Dawn and have great local jewelry artists and some even from NYC who frequent the town often and get the vibe.
Mr. Blackbird. Hands-down some of the coolest handmade jewelry in town. They also sell some awesome macrame sandals that I should have bought. It's right across the street from Hartwood which is also one of the "coolest" restaurants in town.
Josa Tulum. If you're looking for a new Lisa Marie Fernandez bikini or a caftan, this is the spot.
